DESCRIPTION:Registration for summer programs at Northern Lake YMCA opens 
 up to the general public on Monday\, May 21. It&rsquo\;s the community&r
 squo\;s opportunity to sign up for springtime activities that encourage 
 the Y&rsquo\;s four core values of caring\, honesty\, respect and respon
 sibility at the Northern Lake Y\, 2000 Western Ave.\, Waukegan as well a
 s at Central Lake YMCA in Vernon Hills.\nSummer programs beginning June 
 4 include fitness classes for kids and adults\, swimming lessons and act
 ivities for all ages\, martial arts\, CPR and first aid instruction\, an
 d &ldquo\;Club Y&rdquo\; for youth ages 7 and up. &nbsp\;\nBe sure to si
 gn up by May 29 to avoid higher late-registration fees for some classes.
 \nMeanwhile\, registration continues for Lake County Family YMCA&rsquo\;
 s summer youth camps that begin June 11 at both its Waukegan and Vernon 
 Hills facilities. From swimming to craft projects and outdoor education\
 , ACA-accredited Y Day Camps offer a variety of fun and educational acti
 vities under the supervision of counsellors certified in first aid\, CPR
  and AED. Campers will build self-confidence\, discover new skills\, dev
 elop a respect for the outdoors and make new friends. They are divided i
 nto two age groups: grades K-4 and grades 5-8.\nThere&rsquo\;s also a pr
 eschool summer camp experience available for kids 3 to 5 years old at th
 e Vernon Hills Y only.&nbsp\; These young campers will participate in ga
 mes\, songs\, crafts\, and several field activities in addition to swimm
 ing one day each week.\nRegistration for all age groups can be done on e
 ither a weekly or an all-summer basis. Camps dates cover the period June
  11 through Aug. 24. Space is limited\, so parents should register their
