Yes The Residential Real Estate Market Is Hot For "Buyers & Sellers"

Home Buyers and Sellers Need To Understand What's Going On In Our Local Real Estate Market To Make A Smart Decision.

Certain areas in the North Shore, North, and Northwest suburban real estate markets are seeing much more activity than others. Mortgage rates are steady and still at historical low rates. Home prices have moved up and seem to be going higher.

Home Sellers: Luxury real estate, $1,000,000.00 and up is in high demand along with mid-range housing priced from $450,000.00 - $800,000.00. Home buyers are interested in schools, location, and prefer homes that are updated with all the bells and whistles, these homes are selling fast with many receiving multiple offers. Homes that need work take longer to sell and home sellers will need to negotiate with buyers if they want to sell there home. If you are selling a home, make sure your home is priced correctly to attract the most amount of buyers to your home.

Home Buyers: Guess what, its more of a sellers market than a buyers market and you as a buyer need to understand that if you like a home, so do many other buyers that are looking for exactly what you are. A few years ago buyers could submit offers 8%-15% below the homes asking price and get the seller to negotiate. This is not the case today, with a limited amount of home inventory and a lot of buyers wanting to buy, home prices are up!

Some home buyers will need to lose a house they fell in love with once or twice to really understand what they need to be paying for a particular home in order to be successful.

Real Estate Agents need to be very realistic with there home buyer and seller clients and set the clients expectations at the right level. We are in a very competitive real estate market and buyers and sellers need to see recent home data so they can make an educated decision and be prepared
in advance to act.

Below are links to home listings located in hot areas. If you are buying or selling a home its a great idea to see whats out there. The more you are familiar with the pricing, area by area, it will give you a feel for the real estate market.
