UPDATE: Jan. 6 Garbage Collection Delayed in Lake Forest, Lake Bluff

There will be no waste, recycling or Christmas tree collection on Monday.

Update:

The City of Lake Forest stated Monday morning that the landfill company it uses will be closed Monday due to the severe cold weather. Weather conditions will determine whether the landfill reopens Tuesday.

Due to the landfill closure, the refuse, recycling and yard waste collection for Monday will be postponed until at least Tuesday. An adjusted schedule will be determined after the city is notified if the landfill will reopen on Tuesday. The city's website will be updated with the revised schedule as soon as it is available.
