Lake Forest Stores Host Holiday Shopping Party

Tuesday's event will include sales and extended hours at many shops in Lake Forest's Market Square.

On Tuesday, Dec. 3, Market Square will be bustling with a festive spirit as the merchants host a “Holiday Shopping Party” with specials, gifts, discounts, sales and holiday cheer.

The party will continue into the evening with several stores extending their hours until 8 p.m. for the occasion, including Blue Mercury, Alixandra Collections, EJ Mirage, J. McLaughlin, Jolly Good Fellows, Lake Forest Book Store, Lake Forest Resale Shop, The Lake Forest Shop, Three Sisters and TSE.  Forest Bootery will be open until 7 p.m. and all other stores will be hosting shoppers during their regular business hours.

The following is a sampling of a few of the “Holiday Shopping Party” specials and gifts:

  • Blue Mercury will offer 10 percent off $100 in purchases, 15 percent off $175, 20 percent off $250 or more, and representatives will be on hand from a majority of the brands carried at the store to answer questions and share samples.
  • EJ Mirage will feature a sale on Mariposa items, Forest Bootery will offer 20 percent all clothing purchased that day, J. McLaughlin will be giving out $25 gift certificates to the first 25 people to stop in the store, and there will be free gifts and a sale on the Fall Collection at TSE

Shoppers are reminded to save their receipts throughout the month of December to enter the LF/B Chamber of Commerce "Shop Local First" drawing to win $1,000 in ChamberChecks. Shoppers will receive one entry for every $250 in receipts for retail or food purchases in Lake Forest and Lake Bluff. The drawing will be held on Jan. 5.
