Lend a Hand on National Public Lands Day
Volunteers are needed to help clear brush, remove trash and otherwise help preserve northwest suburban areas this weekend.
People around the nation will gather Saturday, Sept. 28 to care for parks and other public property in observation of National Public Lands Day
Locally, volunteers are needed to:
- Clear brush, remove invasive species and pick up trash at Blue Star Memorial Woods in Glenview
- Join park district staff in cleaning up Margreth Riemer Reservoir in Palatine
- Remove invasive brush and collect native seeds at The Grove National Historic Landmark in Glenview
