Tree Sale Benefits Residents, City of Lake Forest

A native tree sale scheduled for Oct. 12 is open to community members. It will help raise funds to replace diseased trees in Lake Forest.

Planning to plant some new trees? 

The City of Lake Forest and Lake Forest Open Lands Association are joining together to present a native tree sale from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Oct. 12 at Elawa Farm Hay Barn, 1401 Middlefork Drive, Lake Forest.  

In a collaboration to “re-green” the area due to Emerald Ash Borer devastation and other tree diseases, The event will include a presentation on "re-greening" the area following the impact of the emerald ash borer and other tree diseases.

Ten to 12 native tree varieties will be offered at discounted prices. A portion of the proceeds will fund planting trees in Lake Forest.
