Lake Forest resident Diane Poljak promoted to senior vice president, staffing practice leader, at Assurance

Diane Poljak (nee Bozic), of Lake Forest, has been promoted to senior vice president, staffing practice leader, at Assurance in Schaumburg and St. Louis.  Assurance is one of the largest and most awarded independent insurance brokerages in the United States. Her former title was senior vice president.

“I’m both excited and proud to have Diane as one of the new practice leaders of Assurance,” said Assurance CEO Tony Chimino. “For the past eight years, she’s been intimately involved in serving our clients in the staffing industry and is vested in the industry’s long-term success. Throughout this time, she’s proven herself as a leader in understanding and teaching both our sales and service process. It’s a perfect evolution of Diane’s skills to now be the formal leader of our staffing practice.”

With more than 15 years of experience, Poljak’s main responsibility is to set both the strategy and vision of the staffing team based on client needs and the industry as a whole. She encourages her team to take a hands-on approach by understanding each client’s business, vision, company history and risk concerns. 

“I make it my top priority to not only advocate for our clients,” she said, “but to delve deeper in understanding their industry and be a true business partner.”

Poljak graduated from Butler University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. She has earned her Property & Casualty, as well as a Life & Health Insurance licenses in eighteen states. She possesses an Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation and is an active member of multiple associations including the American Staffing Association (ASA), ANSERTEAM and TempNet.

Before joining Assurance, Poljak was a business development manager for a global insurance carrier, responsible for managing relationships with various brokerage houses. Prior to that, she worked in the Management Liability Division of a large insurance brokerage.
