HOME CARE PULSE HONORS SENIOR HELPERS AS AWARD-WINNING BEST OF HOME CARE AGENCY

Senior Helpers Recognized for Quality of Care the Second Consecutive Year

Bob and Abbie Tucker, co-owners of the Northbrook-based Senior Helpers office serving
the north and northwest Chicagoland area, are the proud recipients of the Home Care Best of
HomeCare® 2014 Award. Their agency is one of only four in Illinois to win this national award,
and one of only 150 agencies nationwide to receive this recognition.
Home healthcare providers with the highest satisfaction scores from their clients receive
these honors. This year, some of the categories Senior Helpers was recognized for include: work ethic, timeliness of service, compassion of the caregivers; confidence in the office staff, effective
communication, quick response to solving problems, receiving services as promised and would
recommend the provider to others. Most importantly, Senior Helpers won for overall quality of service.
“We are delighted to receive this award from a professional, independent third-party
market research firm for our work this year and last year,” says Bob Tucker, a qualified dementia
care provider (QDCP) and Northbrook resident. “We are as proud of this recognition as we are of
being selected as the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America’s affiliate office for the Chicago area.
“We pride ourselves on offering our clients as little or as much help as they need,” adds
Tucker. “Clients can use our services for an hour a week, to 24-hours a day-seven days a week.”
“This award is an incentive for making sure we continue to strive to meet all of the needs
of our clients and their families every day they need our assistance,” adds Abbie Tucker M.A.,
senior advocate and client services director, certified senior advisor (CSA) and a qualified
dementia care provider (QDCP). “ Whether our clients are suffering from Alzheimer’s,
Parkinson’s, other forms of dementia or physical conditions such as a heart attack, stroke, cancer,
diabetes, broken bones or surgery; we work very hard to meet their specific needs.”
Senior Helpers has established an Alzheimer’s/Dementia Care Resource Center for the
community in their office. All of the materials-books, DVDs, articles and magazines about
dementia-are available to anyone in the community for no charge, as is a free consultation and
access to all of the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA) programs.
