LFHS Boys' Varsity Tennis Team to Hold Junior Player FUNdraiser Clinic for PADS Lake County

The Varsity Boys' Tennis Team of LFHS in conjunction with the Racquet Club of Lake Bluff (RCLB), will hold a FUN-draiser on Saturday, April 19, from 6 -8 pm.  The Varsity Team, 2013 State Champion runners-up, will be on all courts working with the junior players in attendance on tennis drills and instructions, games and techniques.  This community service project will benefit PADS of Lake County.
Children of all ages are encouraged to attend and the cost is $25.  This includes the two hours of tennis, food, music and fun.  Junior players will be divided into groups by skill levels and ages. Some racquets will be available for use if players need to borrow one that evening.  The emcee for the evening will be Rod Schroeder, a RCLB Head Professional and Junior Tennis Coordinator.  The RCLB is donating all their courts and court time for this event and all proceeds from this event will be given to PADS.  PADS Lake County is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing emergency shelter, permanent supportive housing and comprehensive resources to families with children and individuals experiencing homelessness in Lake County, IL.  The Varsity Tennis Scouts are coached by Corky Leighton and Scott Gilbert.  To reserve a spot for this fundraiser, call the RCLB at (847) 295-1322.
