Look North Hunger Summit to examine hunger in Lake County

The Look North Hunger Summit, a day of shared learnings and discussion about the state of hunger in Lake County, will be held from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 29 in the C Wing Conference Area at College of Lake County’s Grayslake Campus. The free event will include perspectives from local food pantries, social service agencies, Feeding America experts and some of our hungry neighbors.

Participants will be encouraged to join in discussions on topics including the root causes of hunger, current Lake County trends and stats, and how the community can collaborate to provide a response that puts our neighbors in need on a path to self-sufficiency.

The event is free and open to the public, but all participants must register and present their ticket at the door. Breakfast, lunch, and a light snack will be provided, and an optional networking reception will follow from 3-4 p.m.
