Morning Light
Good morning, special people who share with me some of our globe’s space and the mind boggling wonder of the Internet. Here in Chiagoland, I now view a delicate coral haze of sunrise from the direction of Lake Michigan. The TV weather girl has promised a cool, but beautiful September day, a treasured memory to store away and bring up when the cold and slush of winter seem forever. I had arisen earlier to a window full of darkness, only lit by the familiar streetlamps, until I scrunched my eyes and noticed something in the distance:
New Light

Its shadows and its lights
That is until this morning’s view

In captured a new Light
There it is before me now
Behind thick shrubbery
A Light I’d never seen before
It seems to call to me
All was as it had been before
The lamplights glow in place
The inky highs sketch out the skies
The hush before the race
But there Its glow, though whispered low,
Presents an added Flame
Its meaning still a Mystery
That daylight may give name.
