Looking for a New Look? Find It At Forest & Found Thrift
Forest & Found--the art of community thrift--will open its doors at 10 am this Saturday, March 8, at 1363 N Western Avenue in Lake Forest.  Near Forever OM Yoga and The Shaggy Dog Shop, the store will offer ease of parking near the front door for donation drop-offs. Larger items can be taken into the store through the garage door at the rear of the building.
Furniture, housewares, linens, men', women's and children's clothing and toys can be found at this new not-for-profit thrift store.  Tax credit is given for donations.

After a peek at the store this weekend, stop in on Friday, March 14 or Saturday, March 15 when we team with Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Artisan Guild, another not-for-profit group.  These artists, local makers from jewelry artists to soap makers, will be holding sales of their handiwork at the shop.

Store hours are 10am-5 pm Monday through Friday. Visit us at our website: http://www.forestandfound.com or call with questions at 847-482-1705.  We look forward to seeing you!

The link appears to be missing its ".com." This works: http://www.forestandfound.com/

Thank you, Nicki. Yes, it should read "www.forestandfound.com"

OK, but the site doesn't say much about how the group donates and who benefits when they're considered non-profit. There's an "about us" link promises to list their Board of Directors and Volunteers, but that's not there. On the whole site the only person identified by name is a "guest blogger". Was the website just not ready for the opening or is something else amiss? IDK just asking.

Thanks, Susan. We appreciate your input. Keep an eye out on our website (www.forestandfound.com) and Facebook page for frequent updates. Your questions will be answered. They are a work in progress right now.

Thank you. I checked back today and it looks great. So glad to know the details of what I'm supporting. I'm a mindful consumer in both the for profit and non profit worlds and I will come visit soon!
