New 12-14U Baseball Team Tryouts!!!!

BatSpeed Baseball and Softball Academy in Gurnee, founded by Lake Forest resident Scott Czerniejweski in 2009 to develop the abundance of baseball talent in Lake County and southeastern Wisconsin, created the highly respected and successful Lakeside Legends 15-18U High School Showcase Program, in which numerous Lake Forest/Lake Bluff residents participate.

Building on the Legends reputation, BatSpeed Academy has decided to establish a Legends Youth Program. Legends Youth will cover 12U-14U and be under the direction of Bob Zacher. Zacher is a recently retired Lake Forest Police Officer who founded the highly successful, and one of the largest free baseball clinics in the country, the Lake Forest Police Department Baseball Clinic, which was held annually at Chicago Bears indoor practice facility. Zacher currently coaches one of the 15U Legends teams and will coach the 2013 12U Fall Ball Legends.

The Lakeside Legends Youth Program will emphasize skill development for kids who want to progress their baseball talents for their current age group and prepare them for future levels, especially high school, while playing in a fun, competitive team aspect. Teams will play in area weekend tournaments during the spring and summer, which will allow coaches more opportunity for skill development through weekday practices.
