Summer School Tackles Contemporary Moral Issues

Tuesday, July 23rd, the St. Mary’s Adult Education Committee will host its weekly Tuesday night discussion on highlights of the Catholic Catechism with “Catholic Moral Theology and Contemporary Moral Issues.”

Catholics and non-Catholics alike are invited to these lively talks with robust Q & A, followed by informal fellowship with wine & cheese.  The sessions begin promptly at 7 p.m. in the School of St. Mary’s Multi-Purpose Room, 175 E. Illinois Road, Lake Forest and end at 8:30 p.m.

Several issues, including Christian anthropology, the natural philosophy of Aristotle and Thomas Aquinas, epicurean and utilitarian systems of thought, sin, conscience, and avoiding cooperation with evil take center stage this week, with a focus on contemporary moral issues in this seventh of a total of eight classes comprising St. Mary’s Summer School of Faith.
