BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS

Since the days of St. Francis, Christians have celebrated the "Blessing of the Animals" in worship.  God gives us creatures with whom we share this earth, those who sing to us from skies and those who steal our bird seed from our feeders!  Of course, no one is more aware of the blessing of the animals than Lake Bluffers, who bring animals of all shapes and sizes into our families and then  walk them morning and night past one another's homes.

Join us at Sunrise Park at the end of the block overlooking Lake Michigan (the corner of Ravine and Sunrise).  At 10:00 AM this Sunday the Union Church celebrates the "Blessing of the Animals" service.  Bring your favorite animal(s) with you!  Come as you are and rejoice in one of God's simple gifts.
