Oktoberfest - Gorton Children's Drop In Center Benefit

Grab your family & friends, and hit one of the best Fall events on the North Shore! Rated as one of the area’s parties NOT to miss, plan to attend the 2012 Oktoberfest benefit to support the Lake Forest Gorton Children’s Drop-In Center! This lively event will be held from 7:00-11:00p.m. on Friday, September 28th at the Lake Forest Club (554 North Westmoreland Road, Lake Forest). Funds raised from Oktoberfest will benefit the Gorton Children’s Drop-In Center and operations of the Gorton Community Center.


There will be an open bar, live music, games, a fabulous buffet menu, raffle packages and several silent auction items including 6 days and 5 nights of fishing, surfing and rustic adventure at The Tamarindo DIria Beach and Golf Resort in Tamarindo, Costa Rica, 2013 Allstate Sugar Bowl Tickets and Private Beer Lover’s Dinner for 6 at Inovasi – 6 unique courses paired with 6 special brews from the Lake Bluff Brewing Company!!!!


Oktoberfest tickets are $75 in advance or $85 at the door. Tickets will be available online starting August 10th at www.gortoncenter.org. Dress is Casual.

Can’t attend but would like to support this great cause? Please make a contribution to help support the Drop-In! Donations can be mailed directly to The Gorton Children’s Drop-In Center at 400 E. Illinois Rd., Lake Forest, IL 60045.


Open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. the Children’s Drop-In Center is a 25 year-old membership-based program that offers flexible, early childhood care, education and summer camp activities for children ages six weeks to six years. Each year, children from 200 area families enjoy this nurturing, safe, convenient and fun environment that boasts nearly 2,100 square feet of brightly colored childcare space spread over three classrooms and a private, outdoor play yard. Families may enroll online at http://www.gortoncenter.org/drop-in. Hourly fees are $8 an hour for one child and $4 extra per child, per hour.
