Nominate Your Lake Forest or Lake Bluff Hero for General Motors Contest

The “Our Town, Our Heroes” program, sponsored by General Motors, is looking for people “who inspire others and drive positive change” in the and communities.

In its second year, the contest held throughout Illinois aims to highlight the accomplishments of those who truly make a difference.

Potential nominees could include teachers, coaches, veterans, parents, friends or anyone else who goes above and beyond to serve others.

GM is seeking nominations through November. One finalist will be chosen every month based on the most votes received on the Our Town, Our Heroes website.

The winners will receive a one-week car loan of a new GMC, Cadillac, Buick or Chevrolet and $500 in gift cards.

The car will be delivered personally by GM representatives, and friends and supporters are invited to attend a celebration to congratulate the winner.

Individuals who nominate winners also will receive the one-week car loan.

Additional car loans will be given to the second-place winners and their nominators as well.
