Jacob joined the company after graduating from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism in 2010.

Originally from Miami, Fla., Jacob has fallen in love with the Midwest despite the harsh winter blizzards he's dared to cover. In the past three years, he has reported on everything from municipal elections to teachers' strikes to restaurants opening and closing.

Jacob has covered news that's been unbearably tragic to news that's been nothing short of inspiring. Through it all, he's grown to appreciate and respect the Highland Park community. He's looking forward to what he'll find in Lake Forest.

Paula Skaggs is now the editor for both the Winnetka-Glencoe and Wilmette-Kenilworth Patches.
