John Waters Film Fest: "Hairspray" (1988)

Starring Sonny Bono, Deborah Harry, Ricki Lake, Jerry Stiller, and Divine
Part of the John Waters Film Festival, this movie is about a 'pleasantly plump' teenager who teaches 1962 Baltimore a thing or two about integration after landing a spot on a local TV dance show. Introduction by Krebs Dean of the Faculty Janet McCracken.

The festival culminates in a talk by John Waters himself, on Thursday, March 24 at 7:30 pm in the Lily Reid Holt Memorial Chapel.
