Make Music Chicago North Shore

International day of music celebrated in Lake Forest & Lake Bluff on Thursday, June 21

Music will be in the air on Thursday, June 21 as Make Music Chicago, a free, one-day music festival, comes to Lake Forest and Lake Bluff.  This is the first year that the daylong festival, which takes place at more than 75 sites throughout Chicago and various suburbs, will expand into the North Shore beyond Evanston.

Music aficionados of all ages can head to Lake Bluff’s Village Green, where a lineup of performers, including guitarists, rock bands and a vocal ensemble, will take the stage every hour between noon and 6:30 p.m.

In Lake Forest, a musical “petting zoo,” hosted by the Music Institute of Chicago, will make Market Square ring with the sound of spontaneous music, giving kids of all ages the opportunity to play with a variety of instruments. Revelers can also groove to the tunes of Midwest Dueling Pianos and the Del-Crustaceans, featuring local residents Rick Telander and Fred Koch.
