Wisma is the exclusive book drop network partner for Bernie's Book Bank which collects and distributes gently used children's books to low-income children in Chicago and the suburbs. So far, Bernie's Book Bank has delivered more than 270,000 books in Lake, Cook and DuPage counties.

  • Why Go?: Local farmers and specialty merchants sell local produce, seasonal fruits and vegetables, meat, poultry, dairy products, and more. Local chefs will sell a variety of treats like cupcakes, pies, cookies, dips, salsas, homemade granola, homemade marshmallows and more..

  • Why Go?: Enjoy fresh fruits, vegetables, summer blossoms and delicious baked goods at the 18th annual Lake Bluff Farmers' Market. Park near the Central Business District at the Walnut Avenue Parking Lot, the Train Station Lot and at Artesian Park.
  • Pricing: Free admission.

  • Why Go?: Six-time grammy elected artist with 25 releases will perform his own style of blues and blues rock. Experience the magic of Michael Charles' guitar as he pours out his energy during his Connected 2011 tour.

5. Historic Family Fair

  • Where / When: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturday (June 25) in Market Square on Western Avenue in downtown Lake Forest.
  • Why Go?: Free, narrated trolley tours of East Lake Forest every 15 minutes, scavenger hunts and architectural bingo, tours of the underground train tunnel at the Market Square Station, guided walking tours of Historic Market Square (circa 1916), self-guided tour maps and bike safety checks at Kiddles, specialty food items with 1916 prices. Fun for the whole family.
  •  Pricing: Free.

  • Where/When: Village Green; 3 - 7:30 p.m. Sunday (June 26).
  • Why Go?: Spend the day relaxing in the sun and listening to live music while helping to feed the hungry in Lake County. Enter a drawing for prizes and gift certificates from local merchants. A $20 donation pays for 160 pounds of food.
  • Pricing: $20 donation.
