The Music Institute of Chicago, the oldest community music school in Illinois and one of the three oldest in the nation, invites prospective students to find out more about its programs and instruction at an open house at 3:30 p.m. April 3 at its Lake Forest campus, 40 E. Old Mill Road.
The free open house is an opportunity for children and families to enjoy concerts and interactive events, including MIC’s popular Instrument Petting Zoo for hands-on exploration of string, brass, wind, and percussion instruments. There will also be Musikgarten® early childhood demos, opportunities to talk with faculty and staff, and performances.
