BMW Championship Golf Tournament Tees Off in Lake Forest, IL September 9th – 15th 2013

BMW welcomes all Chicagoland golf enthusiasts to join the spectatorship of the 2013 BMW Championship held at Conway Farms Golf Club in Lake Forest, IL next week. The BMW Championship is the third of four events in the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup and determines the final field of 30 for the TOUR Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta. It is conducted by the Western Golf Association to benefit the Evans Scholars Foundation. Gates Open at 9:00 am on Monday 9/9/13 and the Professional Practice Rounds begin at 12:30 pm. Tickets and Spectator Benefits

All are welcome to attend this world class event. Juniors 16 and under can get in free when accompanied by a ticketed adult.  Active, Reserve, and military retirees are also offered free admission on any day of the tournament. Tickets are going fast, and can be purchased online here. BMW owners will receive special treatment with the Ultimate Owner Experience at the BMW Championship. This includes exclusive access to a private owners-only parking area, as well as seating at the BMW Owners’ Pavilion, located between the 17th tee and 16th green. About the FedExCup

This season-long competition allows players to accumulate points in each eligible FedExCup Points event. At the end of the season, the winning player will be crowned the PGA TOUR FedExCup Champion. In the FedExCup format, the PGA TOUR season is divided into two elements:

At the conclusion of the Regular Season, the Top 125 players in the FedExCup standings will qualify to compete in the PGA TOUR Playoffs. For more details on the FedExCup, visit here.

About the Evans Scholars Foundation

All proceeds from the 2013 BMW Championship will benefit the Evans Scholars Foundation, which awards full tuition and housing college scholarships to caddies from modest means. Since 1930, more than 10,000 outstanding young men and women caddies have attended some of the nation’s finest universities thanks to the Evans Scholarship. The Evans Scholars Foundation owns and operates a Scholarship House at 14 universities across the nation, including Northwestern University, the University of Illinois and the University of Colorado.
