Bullseye! New Target Store Approved for Lake Bluff

Village approves resolution paving the way for Target to start building new store.

The Village of Lake Bluff will get its first big box store.

Trustees Monday unanimously approved the final development plan from Target to open a 139,000 square-foot store at the former Shepard Chevrolet property near Route 176 and Waukegan Road, reported the Gazebo News.

Last month, Lake Bluff officials approved a sales tax rebate of 50 percent, reported Patch. Through a 10-year agreement, Target could collect up to $4.2 million in tax rebates.
