Chamber Moves Offices From Train Depot to Arcade Building

Opens doors at new location April 16.

After 17 years at the Market Square train station, the Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Chamber of Commerce has moved to a new office location at the Arcade Building, 272 East Deerpath, suite 106, in Lake Forest.

The Chamber closed its doors at the station March 30, and will take over its new office space April 16. In the interim, the staff will be housed at the Baytree National Bank & Trust Co., 664 N. Western Ave. in Lake Forest.

Prior to April 16, Chamber staff will be available to handle information requests by phone or e-mail. Members of the public who wish to purchase Chamber gift certificates during this time can be accommodated by advance arrangement with staff.

"Although we will no longer be perched along Western Avenue watching the activity in Market Square from our desks, we will be just around the corner on Deerpath, readily accessible to our business friends and residents," said Executive Director Joanna Rolek, who has known no other office since taking over in 1997.

The new location will provide more than twice the space of the Chamber's train station site of 460 square feet ,and the opportunity to utilize the three-story atrium space outside its door for business gatherings. The relocation also offers the opportunity to adapt space to meet modern business needs.

The Chamber moved out of its train station office to make way for the remodeling of the building and its transformation into a new "boutique" store for Pasquesi Home & Gardens scheduled to open May 1.
