Deer Path Inn Bought for $9.3 Million

This Lake Forest hotel has been in operation for more than 100 years.

Deer Path Inn was sold for $9.3 million this week, according to the Lake Forester.

Deer Path Inn was previously owned by Lake Forest resident Peer Pedersen for more than 15 years, the Lake Forester reported. Pedersen died in January, according to the newspaper, and the hotel was purchased by Lake Forest Investments, LLC.

Formerly known as Deerpath Inn, the original building was constructed as a home in the 1860s on Deerpath Road, according to the Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Historical Society’s website. It was later moved a block north, and again moved in 1920 to its current location on Illinois Road.
