Drive-Thru Causes Concerns with Dunkin’ Donuts Proposal

Lake Forest Plan Commission members said the proposal for the East Lake Forest Train Station needs some adjusting before getting their approval.

Lake Forest Plan Commissioners heard details of the proposed Dunkin’ Donuts at the East Lake Forest Train Station last week and voiced some concerns about the safety of the drive-thru window, according to an article in the Lake Forester.

The commissioners were generally happy with the concept of a coffee shop in the vacant space, but worried about how traffic from the drive-thru window would impact the area around the station, the article says. A representative for the shop’s owner said the drive-thru is a key to the location’s success.
