Lake Forest Preservation Foundation Holds Second Wine Stroll

Join the Lake Forest Preservation Foundation on Sunday, October 23, at 2:00 pm at Gorton in Lake Forest for a presentation by well-known Lake Forest interior designer, Frank Ponterio of Frank Ponterio Interior Design.  Frank, who has done design work in many local homes, also designed the library at the Lake Forest Showhouse this year. He was recently awarded first-place honors for this Historic Restoration at the annual American Society of Interior Designers Design Excellence Awards in recognition for his work on the Thorndale Library, as seen in the photo below.  In 2009, Frank designed the Conservatory at the Showhouse’s Benjamin Marshall estate. He is known for tailoring historic interiors to fit today’s family lifestyles.  Frank is a true preservationist who seeks to bring timeless design to contemporary life, balancing elegance with modern ease.

Frank Ponterio has helmed award-winning residential and commercial projects locally and nationally for nearly 20 years.  Ponterio is also highly regarded for his expertise in historic preservation, restoring iconic architecture by such greats as David Adler, Howard Van Doren Shaw, Edwin Hill Clark, and Benjamin Marshall. The Frank Ponterio Furniture Collection, which debuted in 2009 to wide acclaim, artfully combines his European heritage with decidedly classic American comfort and style.

Frank and his wife and daughter live in Lake Forest. Their home, designed by renowned architect David Adler, received an historic preservation award from the Lake Forest Preservation Foundation.
