LF Preservation Foundation's Wine Stroll and Book Signing

Come for a wine stroll at the historic House of the Four Winds at 81 West Laurel, Lake Forest.  Author Barbara Geiger will sign her book Low-Key Genius: The Life and Work of Landscape Gardener O.C. Simonds.  Admission is $15.00 a person for a stroll around the Rose Standish Nichols' designed garden of Howard Van Doren Shaw's House of the Four Winds.  Wine and appetizers are included.  All new and renewing members will receive free admission and a house tour.

O.C. Simonds, the subject of Ms. Geiger's new book, maintained House of the Four Winds' garden and designed the Lakie Forest Cemetery, Forest Park, and Chicago's Graceland Cemetery gardens.  The Lake Forest Book Store will have copies available for you to purchase. Watch for other wine strolls at historic houses throughout the year.
