So long Lakeview, hello Lake Forest area.

Frida's, a Mexican restaurant that closed its doors in August, will be opening a new location in Lake Forest next year, owner Maroene Benitez told DNA Info. She's unsure if the new location — which will feature old favorites like mole, fish tacos and oaxano — will have the same name as the Southport location, but she does know that the menu will change regularly based on available fresh ingredients.

Frida's, which was named after artist Frida Kahlo, closed in August because of rising rent costs at the 3757 N. Southport Ave. location, the DNA Info article states. Benitez is also helping her daughter with La Taquiza in Northbrook. La Taquiza had an Andersonville location, but that was also closed due to high rent.

Reached Thursday via Frida's Facebook page, a restaurant investor said they are in the "pre first stage" of finding a new location for Frida's somewhere between Lake Forest and Deerfield.
