Historical Photo Guessing Game: Late Lake Forest Resident & Employee is Neil Campbell

Weekly posting celebrates Lake Forest's 150th Anniversary.

Congrats to Scott Anderson, who correctly guessed the photo was of Neil Campbell, who served as City Engineer for Lake Forest from 1917 to 1948 (outlasting 13 mayors and 66 aldermen), and as City Manager from 1948-1955.

When he built his home on Washington Circle in 1917, he saved all of his receipts for materials and construction costs.
