What is your business best known for?

April's Linens is best known for in home consultations. I bring my samples to my client's home and listen to what they ultimately want. I help them choose the perfect fabric, trim, color and monogram style. The finished product is truly one of a kind. I also personally deliver their beautiful linens to them in a pretty bag tied with a bow. I know that I have succeeded when they say, "April, I love it!"

When and how did your business get started?

I started April's Linens in 2010. I had worked at Mimi's Lingerie and Linens for over 25 years and when the store closed, the community lost a true friend. I wanted to bring back the tradition of service and knowledge to her loyal customers. I also wanted to offer them the same products that they had loved and relied on at Mimi's. They have been wonderfully supportive and I love every minute of it!

How did you choose the area you did for your business?

I have lived in the Lake Forest and Lake Bluff community my entire life. I love the area and I want to give something back to the place that I call home. My customers have become my friends and I love to help them find what they are looking for.
