  • Why go? This block party marks the beginning of the 101st annual Parade Weekend. The barbershop singers, Take Note Quartet, will perform. The Taste of Lake Bluff will feature food stations hosted by local restaurants and food providers. The Beverage Oasis will be selling beer, wine, slushies and other beverages. There will be a photo booth with take-home prints and merchant promotions and merchandise for sale. Lake Forest-Lake Bluff will also be there!

  • Where/when: Village Green - Southwest Corner of Scranton & Center Ave; 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, July 1.
  • Why go? Enjoy fresh fruits, vegetables, summer blossoms and delicious baked goods at the 18th annual Lake Bluff Farmers' Market. Park near the Central Business District at the Walnut Avenue Parking Lot, the Train Station Lot and at Artesian Park.

  • Why go? Grab your family, a blanket and chairs and head to the Village Green for complementary Oberweis Dairy ice cream and toppings.

  • Why go? Show your support for the and join the Lake Bluff Firemen's Association under the tent.

6. Lake Forest 4th of July Concert, Fireworks

  • Where/when: ; 6 - 10 p.m. Monday, July 4.
  • Why go? There is a pie-eating contest at 7:30 p.m., followed by '80s rocker Rick Springfield and a fireworks display around 9:30 p.m.
