Lake Forest based W.W. Grainger, Inc., was listed today as one of the top places in the United States to work, according to a list published by Fortune Magazine as reported on CNNMoney, a service of both the news network and the magazine.

Grainger came in at 99th on the list and was unranked last year. According to the CNN article, the company offers a generous profit sharing plan contributing 20 percent of each employees pay to the fund.
Grainger is a worldwide distributor of numerous and varied products, according to its website. It has more than 21,000 employees serving two million businesses in 157 countries. Its last reported annual sales exceeded $8 billion.
