Lake Forest Hospital Applies for Permit to Start Building

The hospital received approval last month from the City Council for the overall site plan and architectural design of its new facility.

After an 18-month review process in Lake Forest ended successful last month, Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital has applied for a state permit to build its replacement facility, according to Crain’s Chicago Business.

The permit was filed earlier this month and made public last week on the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board website. The board must approve the proposal for it to move forward, Crain’s reports. The full 198-page application is here.

The City Council’s approval last month came after previous input and approval by the Plan Commission and a Hospital Advisory Committee appointed by the City Council.
