Upscale Steakhouse Coming to Highwood

Advertising exec Steve Platcow and chef Dominic Zumpano are teaming up on P.M. Prime, which should open by early June.

A Lake Forest advertising executive and award-winning chef are teaming up on a new, upscale Highwood steakhouse called P.M. Prime, according to an article in TribLocal.

Steve Platcow, CEO of RPM advertising and a Lake Forest resident, and chef Cominic Zumpano, formerly of Market House on the Square in Lake Forest, hope to open the restaurant in the former Gabriel’s space at 310 Green Bay Road by early June, the article says.

Zumpano, of Lake Bluff, also worked at Rose Garden Restaurant in Maine, which has a coveted AAA five-diamond rating, according to an article in the Lake Forester.

Platcow plans to keep his advertising day job and work at the restaurant at night. His firm has worked with high-end food and beverage clients for years, according to the Lake Forester.

Table for two! Was at Morton's in mid-January and found the food too salty. Won't go back there, so here's hoping this new steak restaurant is great. Best of luck guys!
