• at 12 p.m. at Rollins Savanna on Washington Street in Grayslake. Join other volunteers and help with weeding, mulching and seed collecting in order to establish plants in the native seed nursery. Volunteers will also help with seed cleaning and greenhouse propagation. Moderate physical activity will be necessary. Tools and gloves will be supplied. This is a fun opportunity to spend time outside and meet new people who share the same concern for the forest preserves as you do. Please enter the savanna at the Washington Street entrance. New volunteers, adults, families with children 10 years old and up are welcome. A Volunteer Agreement & Waiver is required.
