Whole Foods Coming to Lake Forest? Public Hearings Soon

The City of Lake Forest answered numerous questions about the grocer potentially locating at Route 60 and Saunders Rd. for the Gazebo News.

Whole Foods has proposed to locate in Lake Forest at the southeast corner of Route 60 and Saunders Road, but the City of Lake Forest says the deal is not done yet, according to an article from Gazebo News

Public hearings will be held in early April and early May by the plan commission and the city building review board, respectively, the article states

At issue would be the removal of trees, drainage, traffic, lighting and noise in addition to other considerations for the proposed 8.5 acre parcel that would include a bank drive-thru, retail stores and restaurants.

Whole Foods came before the City of Lake Forest Plan Commission in mid-November 2013, and announced then that the store opening, if approved, would be in summer of 2015.

Residents are encouraged to check back at the City of Lake Forest website for additional information and email czerniac@cityoflakeforest.com with questions.
