Don't Miss Out on Oktoberfest 2011

Attend one of the best fall events on the North Shore--the 2011 Oktoberfest benefit on Saturday, Oct. 15 at Lake Bluff Golf Club. Help support the Lake Forest Gorton Children's Drop-In Center!

Grab your lederhosen (optional!) and hit one of the best fall events on the Northshore from 7-11 p.m. Oct. 15, 2011 from 7 to 11 p.m. under the banquet tent at the Lake Bluff Golf Club. 

Noted as one of the area's parties NOT to miss, all funds raised from Oktoberfest support the Gorton Children's Drop-In Center.

There will be an open bar, German buffet dinner, live music, games, raffle packages and several spectacular silent auction items including:

Signature raffle items include a well-stocked Ravinia package, a fabulous gourmet cooking class for eight at well-known Froggy’s restaurant and several unique spa packages! Last year, attendees won more than $30,000 worth of raffle prizes.

Oktoberfest tickets are $75 per person and can be purchased by visiting www.gortoncenter.org or by calling the Drop-In at (847) 234-2799. Raffle tickets are $10 each and can be purchased in advance or at the event. Dress is casual.

Can’t attend but would like to support this great cause? Make a contribution to help support the Drop-In! Mail your donation to the Gorton Children’s Drop-In Center at 400 E. Illinois Road, Lake Forest, IL 60045.Donations will 100 percent support the Drop-In Center. 

What is the Drop-In Center?
The Gorton Children's Drop-In Center is a non-profit, part-time, DCFS-licensed child care program serving children from six weeks through six years of age. The purpose of the Drop-In Center is to provide "as needed," quality child care for parents from surounding communities needing time to volunteer in the community, to make an appointment, to attend a meeting, to spend time alone with another child, etc.

Families may enroll online at www.childrensdropincenter.com, and reservations can be made up to two weeks in advance and for up to five hours a day. Hourly fees are $8 an hour for one child with $4 extra per child, per hour.
