Historical Photo Guessing Game: Lake Forest Man Is Charles Quinlan

Weekly posting celebrates Lake Forest's 150th anniversary.

The building was built as a coach house by the Charles Quinlan family in 1870.

After decades spent housing carriages, automobiles, and the coachman or chauffeur in the second floor apartment, in 1924 this building was purchased by Lake Forest Lodge No. 1026, which converted it into their Masonic Lodge. The Historical Society has been housed here since 1998.
