How Do I Post Something On Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Patch?

Here's a quick how-to-post on Patch guide.

Don't be shy.

If you have something to say, promote or inform the community about Patch is a resource that is available to you. One of the favorite parts of this job is going through information posted on the site and selecting items to potentially feature.

For example, a posting on how Jewel-Osco would be raising awareness about diabetes in the Lake Forest-Lake Bluff locations, or the United Way of Lake County partnering with Lake Forest-based Bernie's Book Bank to get a book in the hands of underprivileged children.

These are just a couple examples of residents and organizations utilizing Patch. It's fun. It's easy. And it's free.

  • First create an account by hitting "Log In" in the upper right corner of the home page.
  • After you have an account, you can easily post an event on the site. "Events" are listed in the center of home page and at the end "Post your own event" is an option.
  • If you want to post an announcement about something go to the "Admin" tab next to "Elections 2011". "Announcements" is the first item. Try to find the category that fits your "Announcement" best.

That's it. If you have photos or a logo to go along with your post, all the better.
