Lake Bluff Library Loses $10,000+ To Knollwood Residents Who Purchase North Chicago Library Cards

Purchases violate state law passed in 2001.

Knollwood residents who have purchased library cards in North Chicago have cost the Lake Bluff Library more than $10,000 in lost revenue, according to a article published by the Lake Forester.

The purchase is in violation with a state law passed in 2001 by State Sen. Susan Garrett, D-29th, of Lake Forest, which indicated where individuals who do not reside in a library district or a library Special Service Area should obtain a library card.
