Lake Forest, Lake Bluff Set Veteran's Day Ceremonies

A day to honor those who have served and fallen.

Lake Bluff

A ceremony hosted by American Legion Lake Bluff Post 510 will start at 9 a.m. Friday (Nov. 11) at the Gazebo on Village Green, corner of Scranton Avenue and Sheridan Road.

The guest speaker will be Army Col. Todd Garlick from Naval Station Great Lakes.

Lake Bluff area casualties will be remembered. Following the ceremony, refreshments will be served in the Public Safety Building Community Room, 45 E. Center Ave. For more information, call (847) 234-7110.

Everett School in Lake Forest will conduct its annual Veteran's Day assembly on at 9 a.m. Friday, feauring members of the American Legion Post 264 in Lake Forest. Returning hHonorees include Ted Cole (Vietnam veteran), Chuck Gudbrandsen (World War II), and Bruce Mills (Vietnam veteran). New Honoree the year is Tom Marks (Vietnam veteran), commander of the Legion post.

Later that morning, at 11 a.m., the American legion Post will conduct its official veterans Day ceremony at the The Lake Forest High School band will perform.
