Spaces Open To Cook Alongside Chef Gand At Elawa Farm

This first class features tomatoe dishes.

There are still spots available in first cooking class at  set for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 17 in Lake Forest.

The first class will feature its dishes around tomatoes. Participants will make a fresh tomato sauce, a heirloom tomato bisque from her latest cookbook Brunch! and learn to make pasta from scratch. Pre-registration and pre-payment are required online at www.elawafarm.org or call (847) 234-1966.

This is the first of a series of “Master Cooking Classes” that Gand offers once a month in the Elawa Farm kitchens. Each of these classes focuses on a seasonal ingredient. Participants learn how these foods are grown and harvested, and Gand prepares dishes with them.
