According to Assistant to the Village Administrator Brandon Stanick, the age restriction was originally instated with local schools in mind.

“The main purpose was to reduce the impact on schools that a subdivision like that would bring,” Stanick said.

In a press release, Carey Tischer, vice president of Land Acquisitions for SunCal, commented on the historical value of Stonebridge.

“There are few locations with the historical and cultural significance that this site possesses,” said Tischer. “We recognize that this exceptional property requires thoughtful and sensitive development, and we fully intend to see this through to completion according to the high standards we’re known for.”

Further phone and e-mail attempts to question SunCal about the agreement were not returned.
