The Racquet Club of Lake Bluff Hosts Grand Re-Opening and Open House

The Saturday Sept. 29 event will feature tennis drills and socializing.

Calling all tennis wunderkinds and aspiring players alike! The Racquet Club of Lake Bluff is hosting a Grand Re-Opening and Open House Saturday Sept. 29 from noon to 3 p.m. The day will feature a complimentary tennis drill with a world class professional from 12-2 p.m. and socializing and food from 2-3 p.m. The club’s brand new tennis courts and improved lighting will be on display for visitors.

The Racquet Club of Lake Bluff was established in 1972. The club was purchased by Dan Bruch and Gary Janko, Lake Forest residents, in 2002. In 2006, Bruch and Janko adopted the French Tennis Federation (FFT) training methodology, and hired Courtside International French Tennis Academy to reside within the Racquetball Club of Lake Bluff. Courtside International brought High Performance Junior training to the center, and was the home of the Nation’s #1 ranked Boys player and US Open participate, Michael Redlicki.

This past year, one of the Racquet Club of Lake Bluff’s ladies travel teams won first place in the prestigious Chicago Indoor Tennis League, a first time for the Racquet Club.
