Summer always brings tons of fun and exciting programs to the Lake Bluff Public Library! Kids from ages 2 to 13 can join our Reading Rocks summer program, packed with exciting events and prizes.

GEM, Lake Bluff’s own rock stars, will be stopping by June 30 to really get the library rocking. The last day of the reading program, July 28, will feature performer Dave Rudolph with live music and activities on the village green.

Finally, preschoolers can join children’s assistant Ms. Eliza on the Village Green at 10:30 a.m. Fridays for a fun story time during the weekly Farmer’s Market. Teens can join a Summer Reading Club of their own, reading 1,000 pages to receive gift cards to Starbuck, McDonalds, and iTunes.

Adults certainly won’t miss out, with our tasty ‘Reading is a Treat’ Summer Reading Program and engaging programs ranging from ‘The Making of Downton Abbey’ to ‘The True Story of Mary Lincoln’!

With so much going on, summer at the library is going to be a blast, and we hope you’ll stop by and join in the fun!
