Art Exhibit: Unearthing the Sonnenschein: A Study of the Collections

Presented in conjunction with Signs of Love & Family, this exhibit showcases some of the hidden treasures of Lake Forest College’s art collections, rediscovering them for academic and scholarly use of both students and faculty. Curated by Samantha Niese ’15, Unearthing the Sonnenschein opens on Thursday, October 10 at 7:30 p.m. in the Sonnenschein Gallery and will run through November 4. Guided tours of the collections facility will be available and open to the public.


The Sonnenschein Gallery is located on the third floor of the Durand Art Institute on the North Campus of Lake Forest College. Gallery hours are Mon/Wed/Fri 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Sat/Sun 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Admission is always free and open to the public. For more information visit www.lakeforest.edu/artgallery.
