Eric Litwin, Author of Pete the Cat, Comes to Gorton

Sing away the winter blues with Pete the Cat author Eric Litwin, #1 New York Times Best-Selling author to visit Lake Forest’s Gorton Community Center

Lake Forest, Illinois – Tuesday, March 4 will be an evening of entertainment and big, musical, literary fun when Gorton Community Center hosts Eric Litwin, #1 New York Times Best-Selling author of the first four Pete the Cat picture books. Children of all ages are invited to sing, dance, laugh and fall in love with books.

Litwin, an award-winning musician, will make an exclusive appearance in Lake Forest for one of his fully interactive, dynamic performances. Children and adult fans alike can meet and sing along with Mr. Eric as he plays the guitar and harmonica. He’ll share his NYT Best Selling Pete the Cat books, as well as new characters and stories. Eric's new book, Bedtime at the Nut House, will be released on Little, Brown Books in September 2014.

Following the 5:00 p.m. show at the local landmark Gorton Community Center, Mr. Eric will take pictures and sign books. Families may bring their own copies of: I Love my White Shoes; Rocking in my School Shoes; Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons; or Pete the Cat Saves Christmas. The Lake Forest Book Store will be at the event selling copies of Mr. Eric’s books as well. A kid-friendly dinner of sandwiches, strawberries and blueberries (of course!) chips and vegetables will be provided by Fresh Market. Space is limited. Tickets are $12 per person, under 2 years free.
