Lake Forest Tree Lighting Festivities


Lake Forest’s 30th annual tree lighting ceremony will be Friday, Nov.
29, in historic Market Square and on Western Avenue near the East Lake
Forest train station.



An ice sculpting performance by Art Below Zero will begin at 3 p.m. followed by a visit by Santa Claus at 4 p.m.



A caroling concert by the Lake Forest High School Choristers is scheduled at 4:45 p.m. The trees will be lit at 5:15 p.m.

Western Avenue will be closed to traffic from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. between Deerpath and Westminster Avenue.



Complimentary refreshments will be available during the festivities from Aramark Catering.

Lake Forest Bank & Trust Company co-sponsors the annual
tree-lighting event, a traditional gathering of family, friends and
visitors to the community.
